Indian School Ibri celebrated children’s day on the 14th of November 2018, with great enthusiasm and fervor. Children’s Day is celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, first Prime Minister of Independent India. Jawaharlal Nehru loved children and always emphasized on the importance of giving love and affection to children. The day began with a special prayer song conducted by teachers. Mr.Suresh, the Principal, spoke on the importance of Children’s day. He emphasized the students to dream in order to achieve their goals in future. Further he asked the students to have fire in their bellies for bright future. The students were thrilled to see their teachers singing to the tune of their foot tapping songs and a medley of old and new songs were sung by the teachers. Games such as musical chair, handball, volleyball and football were conducted .The programs aim to celebrate the spirit or childhood in a fun filled and stress free environment. The Principal, gave away the prizes to the winners.

Ms. Subashini teacher proposed the vote of thanks. The campus was buzzing with excitement and joy of colourfully dressed children. Finally sweets were distributed to the students.

Onam awareness programme was held on the 29th of August 2018 in the school auditorium. Onam awareness speech was given by Mrs. Beena. Onam, the biggest festival in Kerala marks the homecoming of the legendary King Mahabali, who once gave the people a golden era in Kerala. The high spirit of the students reflected in the way they arranged an intricately designed flower carpet and welcomed Maveli. The highlight of the programme was the inter house flower carpet competition(Atha Pookalam). The four houses adorned the pookalam carpet with beautiful flowers. Impressive designs and artistic creativity were the hallmarks of the pookalam. The first prize was won by the Green House , the second prize by the Red House and the third prize was shared by the Blue and Yellow Houses respectively. The principal gave away the prizes to the winners.


Eid is a festival of prayers, joy , happiness and brotherhood. At Indian School Ibri, Eid awareness programme was held on the 16th August, 2018 in the school auditorium with great fervor and excitement. Mr. Suresh , the principal, spoke on the importance of sharing. To commemorate the occasion , the students of grade IX enacted a skit enlightening the students about the spirit behind the festival. Eid devotional songs were sung by the students in Arabic. Eid message was delivered by Sanofer teacher. The highlight of the Eid awareness programme was a card making competition; the four houses took part in the competiton. The first place was bagged by the Yellow House, the second place was shared by the Blue and Red houses and the third place won by the Green House. The principal, gave away the prizes to the winners. Sweets were distributed at the end of the programme.
